How to Play Naruto Craft: A Survival Guide for Jacob & Friends

Welcome to the Leaf Village (or wherever we spawned)

This is the quick-start page for our family Naruto Craft world — the one Jacob and his friends play on. Read this once, then just follow the steps in order. Everything below works in plain survival. You do not need creative mode, and nothing here has been cheated in. Achievements are on.

One thing confused me the first time too: you do not spawn at a clan. The mod does not build a clan village anywhere. It drops you into a normal world, hand you a clan card, and expects you to turn a normal Minecraft village into your ninja base. That is the whole point of the game:

Find a village → pick a clan → become a genin → build a Ninja Table → turn a villager into your village's ninja → take missions → rank up → unlock your eyes.

Step 1 — Pick your clan

Look at your hotbar the moment you spawn. It is already filled in for you:

Hotbar slot	Item	What it does
1 and 2	Locked	Permanently locked placeholders. Ignore them, you cannot move them.
3	Switch Skills	Cycles which jutsu is in your hand.
9	Clan card	Your clan. Starts as Clan Uchiha.

Hold the Clan card in slot 9.
Sneak (crouch) while holding it. The card flips between Uchiha and Hyuga, and the action bar above your hotbar shows Clã Uchiha or Clã Hyuga.
When the name is the clan you want, hold the use button on the card. It turns into a permanent clan card and you are now a member of that clan.

Pick with your friends, then split up — Uchiha and Hyuga get different powers later.

Step 2 — Become a Genin

Your rank is the backbone of the whole mod. Missions, jutsus, clothes and eye powers all check it.

Find a village and look for the librarian (the building with bookshelves).
Trade 1 emerald for a Mission Book. It is the first trade in the list and has 6 in stock.
Use the Mission Book. You are now a Genin, and the book offers you a D-rank job.

Ten finished missions and you rank up: Genin → Chunin → Jonin → Kage.

Step 3 — Craft your kit

Three recipes you will use all game. Craft them at a normal crafting table.

Kunai — an iron ingot on top of a stick.

Blank Scroll — 2 sticks and 3 paper:

Ninja Table — 8 planks around the edge, wool in the top-middle, Blank Scroll in the centre, Kunai in the bottom-middle:

The wool colour decides which village you get:

Step 4 — Make your own clan base

This is the step everyone misses.

Walk up to a villager in the village.
Place your Ninja Table within about 6 blocks of that villager.
The villager transforms into that village's ninja — a proper ninja NPC with the village uniform.
Right-click the ninja ("Learn") to learn your clan's fighting styles. The styles unlock as your rank goes up — Fire Style arrives at Chunin, for example.

That ninja is now your quest giver, your trainer and your clan base. Put the table somewhere nice; it stays.

Step 5 — Take missions, get paid, rank up

Open the Mission Book and it offers you jobs for your rank. Roughly what to expect:

B	Defend the village from a pillager raid · kill 30 night monsters · kill 20 piglins and hoglins
S	Boss fights — Zabuza, Hidan, Kisame, Orochimaru, Tobi

A-rank and S-rank bosses drop the legendary weapons: Samehada, Executioner's Blade, Kusanagi, Uchiha Gunbai and the Jashin Scythe. Each one has its own "Evolution Project" upgrade you can craft later.

Step 6 — Awaken your eyes

The endgame. Each power has a real requirement, and the mod tells you the requirement inside the item's description.

Sharingan (Uchiha)	Survive a fight with only half a heart left	Genin or higher
Mangekyō Sharingan	Kill a friendly villager, and the pain changes your eyes	100 XP levels + Jonin
Byakugan (Hyuga)	Defeat 10 mobs in combat	Genin or higher
Sage Mode	Mount Myoboku training	100 XP levels + Kage
Tenseigan	Use the Tenseigan Specter	−100 XP levels + Jonin + Jonin outfit + elemental taijutsu

You will also want outfits: Genin, Chunin and Jonin versions of the Chunin vest, ANBU uniform and Akatsuki cloak. Upgrade them with the Clothing Upgrade smithing template and diamonds.

Step 7 — Go exploring (it is worth it)

Moon ruins — small deepslate ruins scattered all over the overworld. Free to loot.
Ninja loot also hides in buried treasure, pillager outposts, nether fortresses, bastion chests and trial chambers: unknown runes, weapon fragments, outfits, and the Tenseigan Specter.
The Scroll of Ninjutsu Summoning teaches you a random ninjutsu (needs 10 XP levels).
Kill enough mobs and Zetsu shows up — his hide and fabric are how you craft the white outfit.

Rules of the server

Survival only. Do not ask for creative and do not switch to it. Missions and awakenings check your rank, so skipping ahead with creative just breaks your own progression.
Do not use cheats or commands. The world is achievement-friendly right now, and we want to keep it that way.
Only the admin is operator. Everyone else plays as a normal member — explore, gather, earn it.
Lost? Ask the admin. In-game commands are switched off so achievements stay on, but the admin can still move you back to the village from the server console.

Stuck?

Problem	Fix
"I spawned in the middle of nowhere"	Normal. The mod has no clan village — head for the nearest village.
"My clan card disappeared"	It only occupies slot 9 while it is still a choice card. Once used, the clan is on you permanently.
"I have no missions"	You need the Mission Book from the librarian first, then use it once to become Genin.
"The ninja NPC did not appear"	The table has to be placed within about 6 blocks of a villager. Placing it in the middle of nowhere does nothing.
"My jutsu does nothing"	Check your Switch Skills item in slot 3, and check whether the jutsu needs a higher rank or XP levels.
"I want the other clan"	Clan choice is locked in on that character. Pick carefully the first time.
